Hi again Dan, Yet another coincidence! Debbie says the person selling the house I'm interested in is the sister, I think, of the person who sold the house you bought in La Ermita. I guess they prefer to go the way of the direct payment of "earnest money" to seller. Debbie thought you might be able to give me your impression of the reliability/security of this sort of arrangement. I'm not particularly more worried about this arrangement than the escrow account. It's all a bit strange and anxious-making the first time around, but that's to be expected.
