We did what you are planning.

We visited Cancun, Mexico and fell in love with Mexico. Not so much Cancun but the surrounding towns.

However land on that side of the Yucatan, on the water is very expensive, plus they usually have a hurricane or two every year!

So when I got a great offer for my business in Milwaukee we started searching the web and expanded our vacation travels further away from Cancun.

Finally we did it, sold the business and bought a place in Chelem. We sold most of our stuff, bought a trailer for the rest,

put a blanket on the middle seat of the van for our german shepherd and drove to Chelem.

We've opened a B&B here. We're not getting rich but then we didn't expect to.

We've been here 4 years this September and have no regrets.
