Besides enjoying what I listed in my likes, I love doing yoga, tai chi & bellydancing, playing tennis and surfing. I also love to read scary novels and play around with writing sometimes.

Not much for television or movies...in fact I can't even think of anything to put here at the moment!

Bob Marley, Beres Hammond, Clinton Fearon, Peter Tosh, Inna Vision & Groundation are among my favourite reggae artists. Love motown/soul/r&b including artists such as Patti Labelle, Aretha Franklin, Smoky Robinson, Mary J. Blige, Marvin Gaye, Al Green, Commodores, etc. And of course, can always groove to Eric Clapton, Rod Stewart, Queen, Pink Floyd & Meatloaf just to name a few classic entertainers.

Originally from Vancouver, Canada, my husband (Steve, originally from the UK) and I are currently living in Lahaina, Hawaii on the beautiful island of Maui. It was our first experience living in a tropical climate and after 6 months of being here, we knew we couldn't go back to Canada and the brrrrrrrrr! So, like many others we started to investigate where we could retire in comfort and just how we could go about doing that. We found International Living website and then the Merida Insider forums and thanks to all the info we were able to get, we made a trip to Merida in September to see for ourselves if it was for us.
Well, we have just purchased our little dream casa in Merida which we will be moving to permanently in about 5 years. The city met and exceeded our expectations and we love it there...it is exactly what we hoped it would be and more. We are so excited! Steve is even hinting that he might retire earlier...
In the meantime, we are planning on visiting as often as possible (2-3 times per year), working on our Spanish language skills and meeting new friends in and around the city.
