Still figuring this one out.

Bad Leutinant, Home for the Holidays, Cool Hand Luke, I have an embarrassing DiCaprio fetish, but will just leave it at that. I go to pretty much any movie if it's playing in the VIP theater.

Everclear, Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, I&I....concert going was one of my favorite pass times in the States, and I must say I am going through withdrawals...

Many many, right now enjoying biography type stuff, and at the same time kicking my self for that last garage sale I threw in the States..."books are always replaceable" I said to myself...idiot.

The color green, easy going people, dogs (easy going or not!), Sun (though now realizing you can have too much of a good thing), Portland microbrews, mountains, change, being able to pickup hitch-hikers with no fear, iguanas (who knew?), living on a street made of sand, the possibility of snow on Christmas, the perfect mango, thinking I'm running late and in fact being one of the first to arrive!

Anything and everything to do with karaoke, not understanding why the tienda guy keeps bugging me to return my deposit bottles...I paid the deposit, isn't it then my choice if I want to forfeit the money? Not being able to wear sweaters or sweatshirts, or cuddle up in a nice warm blanket, ever, again.

I am from Oregon, have traveled quite a bit, and lived in Texas, NY, Hawaii and Korea. I always return to the Northwest though, as I love it. My husband is working down here, and then we hope he can retire in the next 5 years or so. We are planning to stay here indefinitely, and I am still trying to figure out if ultimately I will be ok with that. I figure it's best to be realistic about these things and not sugar coat it, I miss a lot about the Northwest, and yet I like it here...so at this point I'm basically schizo on the subject and figure by the time I figure it out, I will have been here so long, I won't even remember what the issue was!

Hi Sooz,
I am new to this site and looking to connect with other ex-pats from abroad. We are from California where is raining quite abit now :(
Planning on taking a trip to Merida in March for 2 weeks and staying in Santiago. Do you have any recommendations of where to go. We are aware of the English Library where many ex-pats hang out. If everything works out and we love the area we plan on moving there. Thanks for your time.

Hi Sooz: I got your name from the Automechanic site. I am from Toronto and spend winter Nov-March in Chelem. Now I am in Toronto. I am thinking to buy a used car in Chelem / Merida in Nov when I come there. Japanese or American cars from 1998 to 2003 will be fine. My budget is 20 to 30 thousand Mexican pesos.

I tried to look on the internet Merida site for used car sales. I could not get any info. I could not retrieve classified sections for auto from Merida news papers in spanish or English.

From your bio, I concluded that you are a very helpful person. Hence writing to you for help and direction to find used car sales in Merida on internet or otherwise. Any help greatly appreciated. You could email me : kjha@bell.net   Thank you, Feliz

Hi Sooz,

My husband and I are also sorta from Portland.  When we're not here (Chuburna Beach) we are usually in either Portland or in Joseph Oregon.  I look forward to meeting you.  Darlean (& Cactus)
