Theresa;  Thank you for your feedback.  It is well appreciated!  I'm not certain why the agent said it would be a hard resale.  I'm thinking it's the neighborhood because it seems to be a nice house.  The only information I have is the street its on and not the number...just calle 79x54y56.  As for the house in La Ermita, it looks as if it's on a side street.  Thanks again...

ok...just added your blogs to my favorites.  I need to get off the computer so I could only read about the abundance of mangos and your blue period.. I also got a glimpse of your profile.  I admire you for being able to do what you are.  My husband and I are coming to Merida in July and will be in and out of the city for the month.  We are looking at real estate and are nearing the thought of selling in Boston and moving to Merida.  I have never been there but have been in the Yucatan and everytime Merida has popped up for some reason.  I was an English teacher with a love of cooking and spent some time living in Scotland and traveling in Europe.  At that time I was teaching.  When I returned to NY I left my job and attended the CIA and then moved to Boston where I met my husband.  Presently I'm a food service director for a school system and it amazes me how I get more of a thrill getting kids to eat then when I prepared French food!  Amazing how life changes with  a slower matabolism.  But, must go and hope to hear from you.

Matabolism gets even slower the older you go...and then the chin drops!  It's not pretty, but it's life!  If I can ask, what are you doing in Merida?  how long have you been there and I'll have to read your blogs.  How did you get into writing food blogs?  Have you access to Gourmet, Diary of a Foodie?  They recently did a show on food blogs.

 Hose warming coming soon - we haven't actually moved yet. All out stuff is still in the house on 75, although we have been sleeping in the new house :) It's exciting. 

I will stop by your place when I am back in the old house and say hi :)
