Article: The work done for the Group of Animal Protection in this city is very noble because through the same teaches people without caring about the age, sex or religion, to love all animals, giving them the necessary care, overall kids and young people, who transmit this knowledge to their parents, said Maura Soledad García head of this group.   She said that the ADAY has more than fourteen years working in the state and Progreso is the city in the state with more participation in the program, due to the group formed by enthusiasts young people that care about this matter, most of them are from the local Colegio de Bachilleres.   Their objective is to let people know that the most important thing in not to harm the street animals to avoid their proliferation, but to spay or neuter them to avoid their reproduction. They are current with the knowledge about the street dogs, these are a problem from long time ago, and up to this time there is not a correct and adequate solution to this problem. Here in Progreso the dog proliferation is because there is not an adequate coordination to treat this problem. She thinks that in this case the same authorities must take carts in this problem and do what is needed to make a campaign to control the proliferation of street dogs.   They also extend this invitation to everyone to adopt their animals under their care; they have cats and dogs waiting for someone to offer them lots of love and protection. Also they invite the community to make donations to this cause giving syringes, needles, wraps and any king of material they can use for the care of the animals.   This group also offers medicines to treat internal parasites and medicated baths to help to control external parasites; they also give advice to how to treat and better care for their pets.   The next campaign to treat animal against internal and external parasites, and spays and neuter dogs and cats could be done soon, maybe in the month of July in the School Carlos Marx, she said that details will be sent soon.
