Article: These are 2 bits of information I picked up over the weekend. One is a theater event in Progreso on Thursday night - the other is about a school in Progreso (things we didn't know and a suggestion).   June 25: Molière's Les Précieuses ridicules This performance, by students of ITS, is under the direction of Mtro. Nelson Cepeda Borda. One of the author's earlier works, this is a one act comedy meant to make fun of young ladies who sometimes think too highly of themselves. I love this play and we all remember at least a few of these young ladies from high school and college! The public is encouraged to attend. Location: Esplanade of the Instituto Tecnológico Superior Time: 8:00 PM Admission: Free   Progreso: Escuela Secundaria Carlos Marx The students from Carl Marx Secondary School have been busy this year. Not only have they just finished a "clean the beaches" (and parts of downtown) project, but they also had several projects going at school too. Did you know that they produced several cookbooks this year? We think it would be a great idea to pick up a few and see if we can sell them for the kids online! If anybody speaks Spanish and wants to go over and pick up a few copies, let us know and we'll put them front and center on Yolisto! If you find something else at a school near you, let us know about that too! We think this would be a great way to be actively involved in our communities! Remember - for those of us who are staying on "forever," these kids are going to be our neighbors, tradesmen, mayors and city council members when we are "old" - so now is the time to help ensure the quality of our future lives in Yucatan - as well as theirs!
