My regular supermarket was out of lemon grass (called te de limon here), so I ended up at the Comercial Mexicana at Gran Plaza. Since they had the lemon grass, I did the rest of my shopping there too. While I was wandering down the mayonaise aisle (at least I think it was the mayonaise aisle), I noticed at the far end some mint jelly. I think this was a small spot of imported English foods, because there were at least 6 jars of prepared horseradish, I think it was called salsa de rabano blanco and the brand was Reese?
I remembered that someone mentioned looking for horseradish! Regards, Theresa |

Is epazote used for anything else than de-gas-i-fying frijoles? Does it have a noticeble flavor in milder dishes?
Does it also work for cruciferous veggies like repollo (cabbage)? We made puchero two days ago, and one result may have been mediated by epazote, if it doesn't change the flavor. |
