Its sad to say but I dont have any hobbies right now. My days are consumed with work and my family. I would love to take a pottery class at some point and learn to love exercising someday.

I love heist movies like Nine Queens, The Bank Job, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. Pedro Almodovar films, Children of Men, Pan's Labyrinth, Amorres Perros, Sexo y Lucia, Amelie, Secretary

TV Shows: The Office, Project Runway, Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Spanish rock, world music especially Arabic and Turkish, any Salsa song, bossa nova, 80's music, Yierba buena, Lila Downs, Hotel Costes, Frou Frou, Goldfrapp, Vampire Weekend, Mika, Gotan Project

I mostly read fashion magazines and the ten thousand blog feeds I get in my google reader.
Most recently read: The Science of Getting Rich (The book behind The Law of Attraction) by Wallace D. Wattles.

I like walks on the beach, doing just about anything on the beach actually, clothes straight out from the dryer, the law of attraction, foreign films on a rainy night, making jewelry, cuddling with my hubby, kissing my kiddos every other second, apple pie and apple churros, art festivals, crossing out items on my to do list, looking at Merida real estate online, dancing to any latin beat, sleeping in late and day dreaming

cubicles, getting on the scale, over cooked broccoli, airports, living paycheck to paycheck, aging, cold weather, mold on my favorite piece of cheese, doing taxes, racists

I have my very own blog about living in Merida. Please visit www.andadream.weebly.com

I'm a Mexican American sexy mama of two currently living in Dallas with my silver fox hubby who is a Norwegian American but was raised in NY. I'm a jewelry designer for a costume jewelry company and he is a textile designer. We are tired of making others rich with our ideas and crave to start a new life. So, we have plans to start a biz of our own that will hopefully give us the independence to run that show from anywhere on earth. Our first choice is you guessed it...Merida!

Hey Chica!  I enjoyed chatting with you amidst all the craziness of your premove preprations!  Time to give me the post-move skinny...how are you settling in to life in Merida?  Doesn't look like we'll be back there until January, but I'll let you know for sure...hit me on FB or here when you finally have a chance to come up for air.  I'm so excited for you, brave woman, packing it up and following your dreams!  ¡Salud!

Glad to hear that you finally completed your 'registro de nacimiento', and thatâ??s too funny about your "helpful" friend at the consulate.  As for the blog thing, I know exactly what you mean about being addicted to blogs "about people with Mexico on their mind."  I'm right there with you!  In fact, that would make a really good name for a blog - "Mexico on My Mind!"   Okay, mine is Moving to Merida, but it's a little on the fluff side right now.  I'll have more to talk about after our visit in Sept.  Keep in touch, and good luck on getting a contract!  If you've relocated before our trip, we'll have to meet up!

Hey Chica!  It's been a while since we've chatted.  Are you any closer to your move?  The only step we've made is to establish a timeline of 5 years and a silly blog to keep me motivated.  I looked for the post on citizenship, but I can't remember where it is.  How did your last visit to the Dallas consulate turn out, success?

Hey, thanks for the comment!. .I just discovered Yolisto, and joined today. . .which took a while considering that I am on dial-up here. .not much choice here in the wilds of Montague County. . . not far from you!

I read your profile. . cool!. .I wish you and your hubby luck in making the move!. . I also got a big kick out of your comments on your husband's cat. . . funny, as my hubby has one also, a tiny fur-ball that leaves evidence everywhere. . .and I feel the same about the mess!!. .

I 'intend' to check here often, and hopefully to add info, but being on slow mode, and trying to keep up with 'other' things (blog (yucatangringos.com), zazzle, regular 'chores' and getting ready for our trip down to the Merida area) that may be quite sparodic. .

thanks again and 'good luck' in all your plans!!

Sounds like a good idea. How old are your kids? Mine are still small enough that they will get about a year or two to adjust before they have to go to school. Thats if we can get our selves there before the end of the year.

Our kids are 12, 6 & 2.  My daughter is on the site:  Guera.
