Today is the final day of the competition in the CharrerĂa Yucatan. The hosting group is the Assn. of CharrerĂa de los Conejos at Hacienda Kankabchen in Baca. This privately owned hacienda currently has hundreds of visiting horses and their riders all competing in the Charro events. The finals will be held at 3pm. with the winning team to be announced. This week, we decided to try a takeout place called "Smir Comida y Botanas Arabes," which is known for their (takeout only) Levantine Arab Cuisine. Cristy loves kibis (or Quibi Frito). This is a Levantine Arab dish made of bulgur and chopped meat. The best-known variety is a torpedo-shaped fried croquette, stuffed with minced beef or lamb. Cost: $32.00 MXP for two.
