"Award winning Rosetta Stone software - Spanish for Latin America. Version 2. Levels 1,2,3. Can bring to Mexico on next trip.Th..."

Remodeling houses. Reading. Painting. Working on 2nd degree in Spanish and learning to play piano!

I am a voracious reader. Too many read and loved to pick favorites.

Our beach house in Yucatan! Merida! Mexico! Everything about the beach.... the waves, the sound of the surf, watching the birds and the spectacular sunsets. Fun people. Travel. Good margaritas. My wonderful husband, son and doggie. New friends. Old friends. Did I mention good margaritas?????

Grumpy people. Really cold weather. Cheap tequila. Bugs.

I'm a native Texan from beautiful AUSTIN, TEXAS who has relocated to South Carolina. I love to travel, especially to Mexico. Best times are always with the family. We adopted a terrific dog from the shelter that my son named Lucy. She is my new baby and a Pomeranian mix. I am not working right now and loving every minute of it!

Mary,

The one at truvista net?   If so, yes, I still have it.  Note:  I didn't put the whole e-mail address here because you may not want to share it to the world.

Summer,

When I was a baby (see picture?) I was cute, as I grew older what says in my profile applies (not so cute) but I still like/love myself, and isn't loving yourself what counts?
Go ahead, tell on me to Kaye (lovely lady by the way), as lovely as yourself, of course.

Are you in South Carolina or Yucatan at the moment?  I am seriously considering making my way to Merida around March or April (once I pay my taxes) and stay for at least a couple of months.  When will you make it to Yucatan? (assuming you are not there already).

Hola Verano.... (that is summer of you in Spanish),

Finally I became an "active" yolisto member so as not to lose my network of friends (among other things), and here I am reporting to you.   How are you doing?

Hi

Thanks for the comment. I think I am a little long in the tooth for women to want me to meet their daughters but thanks for the compliment.  I was in a long relationship that went...sideways so have not involved myself with anyone for a long time now.

And yes....( had to laugh) I have non medical friends who have offered to set me up on many occasions.  I like my life and am cautious not to give anyone the wrong impression. I do a lot of traveling but am not a play boy, so not out seeking out all the female attention I can find or have directed my way.

This is where looking more like a mechanic has had its advantages ( laughing)

At work I am known as being obstinant and a hard ass, but there is no room for error in what I do so have to be like that, but that scares a lot of women away very rightly so.  My private life is a very separate  matter and I am quite a different beast away from the hospital, so I have been told.

Also I am far to involved in my work to get back into the dating game, I am attached to my sanity and would like to hold onto it for a while (laughing)

Thanks for saying hi....and the offer to fix me up. Now....on the other hand...if you were single....? ( laughing again)

Be well.
David

Hola Chica!

Thanks for checking on me.  TJ and I survived Ike, but our house has been better.  We live in an enclave of Houston that’s billed as, “The Livable Forest.† With so many BIG trees surrounding us, Ike had a lot of fun in our part of town.  We lost two Oak trees, and one of them ended up in our living room!  Today is day 7 with no electricity.  Believe me, I’m not complaining.  There is so much devastation around us that we consider ourselves unscathed.

On the bright side, I’ve officially detoxed from TV, but I was severely suffering from internet withdrawal.  So, here I sit at a nearby Hooter’s offering free wi-fi, cold cerveza, and a plug to charge my laptop!   Desperate times call for desperate measures!  I think we’ll have power by Monday or Tuesday, so I’ll be a regular on Yolisto again soon.

Best,

Susan

Hello Summer!

Love seeing you & the fam!!!  What a beautiful family you have, too.  I am almost certain I will be down around the 13th of Sept.  I will send e-mail.  Oh, love your beach house too!

Talk to you via e-mail,

Many thanks/muchicimas gracias for the great tips in my "inbox."  I added them to my "Moving to Merida" file!  It's beginning to be a BIG file!

Oh yeah, Zilker Park is cool.  Did you catch the ACL reference?  I love Austin City Limits!
