Just arrived back in Chelem after a 16 hr. journey. It's nice to get back. but we'll have a full couple of days getting everything set up and back to normal!

Hi there Dave. It's good to hear you're back. Danielle and I arrived last Saturday and I got to tell you I'm glad I'm finally back home.

My wife is an angel! "Lucky you", said my boss, "mine is still alive"

Thanks guys...It's nice to be back and we feel blessed that 99% of everything that we left behind in May still worked when we got back!  :D (Those who have "stored stuff" down here for a few months will understand what I mean.)

The only casualty was the A/C in our vehicle. I swear that I keep the A/C guy in Progreso wealthy with my annual visits. He probably has Oct. 1 marked on his calendar!!!

Sooo.. the first thing tomorrow, I visit him and after that MOST important repair, I'll get the oil and filter changed and we should be good for another wonderful 7 months here at home in Chelem.

So were you able to rent the same house as in the past? Or do you have to start new search each year?

Hey Jim..The plum colored Explorer is now like driving in a refrigerator!!! The windows get sooo fogged up that it WOULD be a good idea to give it a wide bearth!!!! :D I love the A/C guy in Progreso, Quick turn around service and good quality work.

In fact, seriously, after driving back to Chelem this evening, I got out of the old Explorer and my eyeglasses immediately fogged up! Loved it!

Great you know where to put the stuff in your refrigerator now when you have a power failure!
