Our house in Chuburna needs another section of  block  wall added.  It will be 8 meters long and 1.5 meters high.  No stucco and a small maybe 1 to 2 inch cap.  Does anyone have a idea of costs (including footing) just for budgeting purposes?.

Somewhere around 1800 pesos a meter, but now, with the new enforcement policy of semarnat. Progreso will not issue you a permit to built without permission from semarnat and that starts at 14,000 pesos. And no you cannot build without it.

Whazzoo, So  the permits in all the beach communities are  subject to permission from Semarnat ?    I was going to do a  three  step process, first a well, then the pool, then an outdoor kitchen then a casita along with a fence extension.  Sounds like I need to turn it in for permision covering all ?

That is correct, but doing the SEMARNAT application is not as easy as it sounds and epending on the type of application that needs to be made costs anywhere from 14,000 to 80,000 pesos

Whazzo,

Are you saying that construction and/or renovations of a home with new perimeter walls, pool, etc. outside the 20 meter Federal Maritime Zone are subject to SEMARNET?

Absolutely, up to 20 KM inland, approvals are now mandatory.
